A FEW LITTLE DETAILS
Curious?
You’re in good company.
The toy is a surprise.
How it works shouldn’t be.
What is gachapon?
Gachapon are small collectible toys sold from capsule vending machines. You pick a machine, turn the handle and a capsule pops out with one toy from that machine’s collection inside. You can see the whole lineup before you play, but which one you get is a surprise.
Where did gachapon come from?
Capsule toy machines arrived in Japan in the 1960s, inspired by the coin-operated toy vending machines found in American shops. Japanese toy makers turned them into something special: carefully designed, detailed miniatures released in themed collections. Today you’ll find them all over Japan, from train stations to shops lined wall to wall with machines, loved by kids and grown-up collectors alike.
How does Gachapon Club work?
We bring the machines to your screen. Purchase tokens, choose a machine and turn the handle to reveal your toy. Each machine shows its price and every toy you could get before you play.
Does the free demo include a real toy?
No—the free demo lets you try the experience without spending tokens or receiving a physical toy. Every paid play gets you one real toy from the machine you chose. Duplicates are possible, and your toys ship together each month.
How does monthly shipping work?
Your toys wait safely in your collection until the monthly cutoff. Then we pack them all into one box and send it to your saved address. Shipping is $9.99 for the whole box, or free for members. We’ll confirm the monthly cutoff and delivery areas before launch.
Where do your toys come from?
Many of our capsule toys come from Japan. We choose collections for their charm, detail and little surprises, and every machine shows the actual products and brand before you play.
Can I give tokens as a gift?
Yes. Token packs and memberships can be given as gifts. We’ll email your gift to them (you get a link to share too), and they sign up to start playing. Gifted tokens never expire.
Do I need a membership?
No. You can play anytime without one. The optional membership is $30 a month and includes 30 tokens, free monthly shipping and first access to new machines. Membership tokens are good for 12 months, and you can cancel anytime. Joining the launch list is free and doesn’t place an order or authorize any charge.
When can I play, and what will it cost?
You can try the free demo right now—no account or tokens needed. Paid play is coming soon. Tokens are $1 each, and each machine shows its own price. Join the launch list for opening news.
